"Wicked" The movie, will be split and set to release in two films.

One of the most popular musicals on broadway is finally being made into two split movies! According to Variety.com, "Jon M. Chu announced on social media that his upcoming adaptation of the musical “Wicked” will be split into two films. Universal Pictures will release the first “Wicked” movie on Dec. 25, 2024. The second “Wicked” movie will debut exactly a year later on Dec. 25, 2025." 
The movie will star Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo as Glinda and Elphaba. "Wicked" tells the story of everything leading up to Dorothy's arrival in OZ. 


Robert Pattison's Batman is getting a sequel

"The Batman" makes a return and so does Robert Pattinson. Warner Bros is set to release a sequel to Matt Reeves' "The Batman". Reeves and Pattinson will be back for the new movie. Many details are not inclosed yet about the new sequel or when it is releasing. The announcement was made Tuesday morning at CinemaCon. 
The original movie followed Batman as he ventures through Gotham City, where a Sadistic killer, the joker leaves behind sick, deranged clues. He uncovers corruption within the city and attempts to bring justice to the corruptly plagued city. 


Margot Robbie Stars as Barbie, in the new "Barbie" movie set to release in 2023.

Margot Robbie stars in the new Barbie movie set to release July 21st, 2023. Warner Bros released the first look of Robbie as Barbie on a twitter post tuesday evening. More details about the plot are still locked in secret at the Dream house. However, Robbie will be joined by Ryan Gosling playing Barbie's forever boyfriend, Ken. Will Ferrell, America Ferrara, Simu Liu, Issa Rae, Micheal Cera, and Kate McKinnon will also be part of the cast. 


"Raising Dion" will not be appearing for anymore seasons

Netflix broke the news this week that Michael B. Jordan's "Raising Dion" has been canceled after two seasons. 
According to Entertainment Weekly, "the show is based on the comic book by Dennis Liu. Raising Dion starred Alisha Wainwright and Ja'Siah Young as a single mother named Nicole and her son Dion, who starts to exhibit mysterious, superhero-like abilities. The second season saw Dion continue to hone his powers before learning that danger still loomed, and work together with his mother to save the city of Atlanta."

Bad Bunny will play Spider-Man Character El-Muerto in Sony Marvel Film

Sony has announced Bad Bunny will be playing the lead role in an El-Muerto movie being released which is currently in the works. The news came out of CinemaCon. El Muerto would be the first Latin character in the Marvel universe to get an individual film. 
According to Deadline.com, "The character of El Muerto aka Juan Carlos was a super powered wrestler who originally fought Spider-Man in a charity wrestling match in which he nearly unmasked the webslinger before being stung by Spider-Man with a paralyzing poison. After his oppressor El Dorado came to claim his life, he was saved by Spider-Man, after which the two team up to defeat Dorado."
